Mr. Samuel Kojo Darko was born at Agona Nyakrom into the Aboso Asona family in 1940 to Opanin Kwame Abban and Maame Esi Oduma both of blessed memory. He had his basic education at Agona Nyakrom urban and then to the Methodist school.

He joined The Church of Pentecost Bethel Assembly in 2012 and later to the Shalom Assembly New York district in 2023 all the Ashaiman Area.

He worked at Ghana Textiles Manufacturing Company (GTMC), then the Tema Fishing Harbour and later as an access control official at a private security Firm.

When Mr. Samuel Kojo Darko was of age to marry, he met a lady called Mary Turkson and later became husband and wife. They were blessed with 9 children, 6 males and 3 females. Unfortunately they lost the eldest child due to ill-health.

Mr. Darko was very dedicated to a healthy and cheerful lifestyle, yet to our dismay, in 2023 his health began to decline. During these challenging times in his life, he held steadfast the belief that it would be well with his soul and on the early hours of Monday, May 26, 2025 he departed this world into eternal rest.

Mr. Samuel Kojo Darko, Azay! Aloss! Seaman as people far and near affectionately called him. You lived your life in the fear of God your creator. Thank you for sharing unconditional love with all who came around you. You will be dearly missed by your family, friends and loved ones. We know death is a necessary end for every living being. We shall meet again one day to part no more.
