He earned a Master’s in Fine Arts and completed a Diploma in Theatre Arts (Drama) at the University of Ghana, Legon. Additionally, he obtained a marketing certification from Heineken Global Commerce University in Amsterdam.

Ekow held leadership roles in several media organisations, including serving as Managing Director at TV Africa, Director of Brands and Corporate Communications at Media General Ghana Limited, and General Manager for both Luv FM and Nhyira FM under Multimedia Broadcasting Company.

Throughout his career, he appeared in and directed various Ghanaian films. One notable project was the movie Breath Vengeance, produced by Lords Production for Ghanaian schools, which earned him a nomination for Best Adult Male Role at the GH Student's Movie Awards.
