Birth and Early Life

Paul Yawo Axor (also known as Apostle Paul or Papa Pee) was born on 25th December 1952, in the vibrant town of Kadjebi, Have-Kofe Volta Region, now Oti Region, to father, Godwin Vorleamesi, and mother, Veronica Gbologah, who are all indigenes of Agortime Kpetoe. He was the second of nine children to his parents. Raised in a Christian household, his early life was deeply rooted in the values of faith, hard work, and community service. These principles guided him throughout his life, shaping him into a man of integrity and dedication.

Elementary and Middle School Education

Paul's educational journey began when he left Have-Kofe in 1959 to Bontibor, where he started his elementary school education at Krachi Nkwata L/A Middle School, completing his studies in 1970. It was here that he first demonstrated his commitment to learning and excellence by successfully passing the Middle School Leaving Certificate (M.S.L.C.) exams. Eager to further his education, he then attended Denyo Commercial College, Dodi-Papase, where he wrote his intermediate exams.

These early achievements laid the foundation for a life marked by continuous learning and professional growth when he secured his first job in 1977 at the Ghana Institute of Bankers in Accra. Where he excelled.

ADVANCED EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS

Paul's thirst for knowledge and self-improvement led him to pursue further studies at the Nautical College, now known as the Regional Maritime Academy. This institution provided him with advanced training in maritime operations, navigation, and safety protocols. The rigorous curriculum at the Nautical College not only equipped him with technical expertise but also reinforced his commitment to safety and leadership—qualities that would define his career in the maritime and drilling industries.

In addition to his formal education, Paul earned an impressive array of certifications throughout his career. These included Fire Fighting and Prevention, Survival at Sea, First Aid at Sea, and Personal Survival Techniques (P.S.S.R.). He also obtained a Seafarer's Medical Certificate and completed courses in Safety Leadership Foundation and Tropical Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training (BOSIET). Each certification reflected his dedication to safety, leadership, and the well-being of his colleagues.
